What is it, Giveaway!

I am working on finishing some projects so nothing new today.
This weekend we got some nice walks in and I took some photos of some unique items.

Here are two photos, you can comment on one or both and comments will be entered to win a free ebooklet. I will pick a winner from the comments on Wednesday night.

This is a common site at low tide, what is it?

On the way back, we walk through the woods and  pass this rock. I never noticed the shape before, what does it look like to you?

Loved the photos. The first one is a snail, isn't it? The second one brings to mind several things: a rhino, a dinosaur or an old man in a peaked nightcap with a pointy nose!

the first pic looks like a snail with barnicles and the second pic looks like a woman with a bonnet hat and eating an ice cream cone.

Lovely photos. First looks like a snail with some buddies on his back. The second looks like a person looking heavenward.

Great pictures... A mollusc (may be one of those that a different creature turns into its own home) and barnacles... I'm sorry, I have little imagination... I see a rock in a beautiful forest.... hmmmm

I love your walks! Let's see, I think the first is a snail, and the second reminds me of Rip Van Winkle! Don't enter me in the give-away though, I want to make my mermaids first, lol! I figure by the time Christmas is done, and I'm finished making for it, I'll have the winter doldrums and I'll need something tropical to pep me up....

It looks like a snail with barnacles. The rock looks like a dog with pointed ears and a long snout.

I, too, think the first is a snail with friends hitching a ride and the second an animal with open mouth.

The first photo is a snail, a periwinkle, maybe with barnacles stuck to it. The second one looks like an old woman with a kerchief on her head sporting a very large nose.

The first one is a snail and the second photo looks like a dog kissing a lizard!

I know what the first picture is...a periwinkle snail!
My youngest said the rocks look like a mommy triceratops waiting for her egg to hatch. And after he said that, that is all I can see.

Very interesting photo. I'd have to guess it is a snail of sorts, but really not sure.

First one is some sort of snail with barnacles and the second one is definitely the wolf from little red riding hood dressed in Grandma's clothes!

Great pics. The first to me is definately a barnicle. The second I immediately saw a dragon curled up in the leaves waiting to pounch.
The lady with a bonnet eating an icecream cone was a stretch for me to see. Interesting though I it does look like that too. Guess barnyardbabies immagination is better than mine. :)

Growing up in RI (many years ago) we called those snails Perewinkles. The rocks look like a giant lizard to me.

The first is a snail (with hitchhikers) - and the second looks like a dinosaur to me....but having read everyone else's interpretations, I need to go back and look again! Either way - great photos!

Oh my heck....I went back - and now I'm seeing a lion wearing a bonnet! This is messing up my head! :o) Robin

WOW...so many different guesses for the second photo, and some funny ones at that! The first is a snail with barnacles, and the second looks like a lions head with a huge mane surrounding it.

Some kind of snail, I think. And I saw a lion's head at first glance. Very cool rock formation! Thanks for the fun!!

The picture of the moonsnail reminds me of looking for them as a kid at low tide. I loved the mud colar that they made. I think it was for their eggs.

First pic looks like a snail & the second looks like a dinosaur to me. Love reading the other comments & went back to look at the rock pic multiple times. It's amazing what you can see when you open up your imagination.

Have a wonderful day~Becky

I agree with most everyone else on the first pic, that it is some sort of snail.
In the second pic,(in the rock to the right) I saw a mommy hen squaking and the baby chick giving mommy a peck kiss (in the rock to the left). And all the littler rocks scattered around are eggs ready to hatch. LOL

The first one reminds me of a moon snail and the second one looks like a unicorn or a lion with a bad hair day. Sometimes I wake up with bad hair!
