300th Posting! Contest

Yes, I made it to 300, lol.
I finished off my new piece today, so you could see it and how I converted one of my patterns into a cross stitch.
I would love to know your opinion on it, do you like it, would you make something like this?
And for all the comments I get about this piece, good or bad, your name will be entered into a drawing for the pattern, to this piece. I am new at using PC stitch, so it is a basic pattern, with color blocks and color code. I made this one into a pillow, but I think it would wonderful framed or on a hornbook. Since I am trying my hand at designing cross stitch patterns, any feedback is welcome. What would you like to see in patterns? Would you buy an epattern and do you like color blocks or color codes on your patterns. Do you care if the finished piece is different from the pattern, sometimes I do my own thing as I stitch, then decide, I like the original better.

I will draw a winning name on Sunday. Remember, you must leave a comment to be entered into the contest.
My next one is an adam and eve piece. I make up the basic design, then stitch it myself, and make changes as I go. I also, cannot see the holes as I stitch, so I am a bad stitcher, lol. But, it lends to the aged look;)

Congratulations on your 300th posting! I really like your new piece - its cute!

I like symbols for colors on my charts. Sometimes colors used in a key instead of symols can be hard to differentiate.

Thanks!

Sweet! This is definitely a pattern that works well as cross stitch and np! I think that charts with detail are best with color blocks. For prim sampler type designs I like symbols. I would buy an e-pattern if a mailed one was not available. But, tend to prefer a printed pattern. Usually, I use the colors that are in the pattern... because the colors in the stitched sample are what attracts me to the design. If I stitch it a second time, I might use what I have or change colors to suit a room that I'm going to display it in. Also, patterns that are printed to be a folded 8.5 x 5.5 are preferred over the one that are a full 8.5 x 11. I'd definitely buy a pattern like this... maybe offer a whole alphabet series... that way people can choose to stitch them all on one sheet for a huge grandios piece!!! Whew... I think I overdosed on caffeine already this morning!!! LOL!

LOL, I'm still laughing at Sharon's comment. She said it all for me and then some! I like chart with symbols. And ones that aren't too close to resembling one another. Can't tell you how many times, I stitched one for another! Colors I have a hard time with, again unless they are completely different. Some reds and oranges look the same.
Your pattern is adorable. Love Sharons idea of a whole alphabet series!! You are on your way to another way of getting your atistry out to the world. Congrat's!! Oh, and as far as an e-pattern, I've done that once, and it's ok. I simply prefer a pattern mailed to me.

Cute pattern! I prefer codes over color blocks. And I love for the chart to look the same as the picture on the cover. :D Congrats on the 300th post!

You can never go wrong with kitty cats anyway you craft them! This is fantastic and so worn and loved looking...wonder if I would be able to accomplish that same look? You have a knack!!

Wow, you made it to 300 posts! I really like the pattern, well, I like everything you make. I love this and I think it would be nice to see you design new patterns. I think colored blocks make it easier to see,
Good Job

Debbie ~ I LOVE it! Your colors are perfect as is the design. I'm a big fan of your designs and finished pieces. Congrats at reaching 300!!

Oh... and one more thing... ;-) LOL! if you design and entire alphabet... you can market it as being able to spell out a child's name when stitched together on one piece... there... I think I'm done thinking for today... ;-)

Cute pattern and congrats on 300 posts. I definitely prefer epatterns, though will buy a mailed pattern if e patterns aren't available. I guess I like instant gratification (smile). I also prefer symbols to color coding. Best of luck on your new venture. BTW I love primitive patterns with old verses.

Your little cat pillow is so cute! I'd say you definitely got the hang of converting your designs to cross stitch! My favorites are alphabet samplers so I hope you'll design one of those!

What a beautiful cross stitched piece, Debbie! I really do like it. Guess I need to get my needle out and start back doing some cross stitch. Congratulations on your 300th post!!! Can't wait to see your Adam and Eve.

Congratulations on post 300! That's really an accomplishment. I think that your piece is wonderful and I'd definitely stitch it. And you say you're working on an Adam and Eve - oh, be still my heart!!

I personally like symbols for my charts - seem easier to read that way, and would definitely be interested in echarts too - no waiting that way.

I love this kitty cat..so please enter me in your giveaway..I think it would be easier to do cross stitch if they are color coated..my eyes go buggy after a while trying to concentrate..haven't been cross stitching at all...

Debbie... I owe you 101 emails of thank you's anyway x x x

Seeing your beautiful cross stitch reminds me that it is always my number one love to do. I used to make my own cross stitch patterns.
Why do you want anyone's comment on this, it's beautiful :-).

Do your own thing. :-)
I love it anyway x x x

Way to go on your 300th post! I don't buy too many patterns but I prefer a mailed pattern over emailed only because I do not have a printer that works all the time but an epattern is great for instant gratification. I also love that you work up your designs first - I think if someone puts out a book of patterns or a series or something - they should have at least attempted to hook, stitch, np or whatever it may be their own pattern. Not saying each on in the book needs to be done - but it is nice to see something done up as you always do.

Debbie ~
Your kitty is very sweet, but if I'm going to stitch, it would be a sampler. I prefer symbols to color blocks.
Congrats on #300!
