My husband redid a room, so I could have a room just for sewing. I am enjoying sewing again and making quilts and it is nice to have to room to sew and places to work on projects. This is a section of my sewing room. I used my big old desk for the sewing machine, love using it and the drawers are perfect for putting the accessories in. The little cabinet is where I hide my paints and other items. Eventually I will change it out for a larger unit with shelves for my fabric stash.
To the left of that, along the wall, I have my old dining table, perfect for piecing and cutting. I also have my serger there, which I use for the edges of my rug backings. It is a mess right now, so pictures of that side will have to wait;) I still need to make curtains and add more wall decor, but it is getting there.

oh, how great that is for you to have a separate room for your sewing. You go, girl!
It is nice, but I still make a mess when I am working on projects;) At least the living room is cleaner.
Debbie
You are a brave woman to show your craft room! And we feel special that you cleaned it up just for us. I know it can't always look that nice! When I am crafting stuff is everywhere! Love your sewing desk!
That is because I only showed you the clean section, lol. My desk stays clean for sewing, all the junk is piled up on the table to the side;)
That was a desk my sister got and gave to me. I used it for my computer, but decided it was perfect for my sewing machine.

Debbie, what a great room to have for your crafts/hooking/sewing. I'm still sittin' in the living room in front of the TV. There's just not enough room in my small house to have a room dedicated only to me. But I sure enjoy looking at yours.
Jo, I won't tell you then, that it is a sewing room and I have a hooking room in the basement;) My kids moved out, so two bedrooms opened up, love having space to work in, but my favorite spot is still plopped in front of the tv;)

Hi Debbie, I have my old dining table in my craft room too. Supposedly for sewing, but it also has two printers and a TV on it! I find that if I have a flat surface anywhere in the house I will fill it up with stuff. So if I want to sew or print or ANYTHING... I have to clean first. Then the stuff goes right back on the table!!! At least it's not on the dining room table I guess!?!?
So cool! I just redid my sewing room. I am making do with the tables I have, but I will be interested to see how your room evolves. Also, thanks for reading my blog.

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for looking at my blog. I just re-arranged my sewing room (a bedroom my youngest son moved out of), and I am interested in seeing how yours evolves. I envy your draw space. I have plastic drawers from Walmart.

Whoops, sorry about the dual comments!

That side is things I had in house. I buy some furniture from the unfinished wood store, great prices and I can custom paint or stain them to suit my likes. On the other side I have handmade ones from specialty store.
I will clean up a bit and take picts of those sides next.
I also use walmart plastic drawers and storage, they do come in handy.

Nice photo!! Well… I love your home & also it's accents.
Beauuutiful Debbie! I love your sewing room. Cozy, warm and tidy!!
I shall keep my space a secret for now, a whole lot of shelving with little room to move. Your space is so desirable. Thanks for the letting us have a peek.
