Not Much Monday Giveaway!

I didn't get much done this week, though I am working on a pillow piece for a gift. I had to redo the lettering since it was small and two strands was too much for the closer letters.

I was going through some old photos and found one from a trip to New Hampshire. We took our nephews, Phillip and Dave to Lost River Campground and my parents stayed at another campground. This would have been in the late 70's and we slept in tents.

I have no idea what we had done that day or why everyone looks like they lost their best friend, but it is fun to remember the early camping days.

For this giveaway, I will give away an Epattern or booklet from my Ecrater site. For fun, try and write a caption for this photo. The funniest caption will win a free pattern and I will draw a name from all the entries for a free pattern, so there will be two winners! I will draw a name on friday night and announce it, that night.

I'm not witty enough to offer a caption, lol. Having been there, done that it looks to me like everyone is relaxed and enjoying the campfire - one of those rare moments when nothing needs to be said. ;)

Caption for your picture - "...that depressing moment when they discover that someone forgot the Hershey's chocolate for the s'mores". LOL

Looking at old photos are fun. Whenever we bring our oldies out, I warn my son with my own caption of "Life before the Internet". Of course looking at yours, he would probably reply with one of his own, "What? Who knew that the campground didn't have WiFi! LOL" Good old fashioned camping was definitely the best times of my childhood, too! :)

OMG Debbie, is that Bill stooping down? He looks like Robert Redford!

Is that the tent sitting in front of the kid in the red and white shirt? "Ok..who is the genus that forgot the tent instructions?!"

"Gee, who forgot to include the graham crackers when they packed the marshmallows and chocolate? What's the point of camping out without s'mores?"

[After I wrote this I looked up at the previous comments and realized how many deal with problems with making s'mores. Guess that is the one thing all of us remember most about camp outs no matter where we lived.]

Everybody's got the blues, since the bear raided the camp last night, and took all the food!
