Last week I was the lucky winner of a fabric giveaway hosted by Henry Glass Fabrics. It was a surprise giveaway so I had no idea what they would send me. I loved the fun Down Under fabric and I really was surprised when, that is what I got, but also the whole bundle of the fabric line, wow!
There is at least a yard on each and more on others, so I will be able to make quite a few charity quilts with this and it will be so fun for the kids that receive it. I have some ideas for quilts, but I would love your ideas or maybe links to patterns that I could use. I many design some around the fabric. Leave a comment on this posting and I will pick a winner on Friday night. The winner will get their choice of one of my epatterns or booklets.

congrats and congrats to the kids who will get some cute quilts.
congratulations on your win and what an awesome thing to do with your winnings! Making blankets for children in need! I hope you have a great rest of the week and a peaceful weekend.
Hugs,
Lynn
Congratulations on your wonderful win! And what a special way to use your material :) I wish I had some ideas for quilts but I have not a clue since I don't sew well, lol. My mom knits blankets for premature babies for a hospital in Toronto.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
hugs, Trish
yes...and no, lol :)
Congratulations on your win ;)
So nice of you to offer a pattern !!
Wow! That is such a fun and happy fabric collection!!! Lucky you! I don't have any pattern suggestions... but I am looking forward to seeing what you stitch together with this! :-) Have fun!
Lucky girl!
Pretty fabrics. You could do a disappearing ninepatch but use the larger motif by fussy cutting for the cornors..it would be so cute! I just did a road to Tennessee..think I got the pattern on the Moda Bake shop site....I like that one too.
I love your giveaway - we make quilts and pillow cases in our guilt group for kids and shelters. I like to do a snowball so you can see some of the cute prints especially for kids. Then you can do hourglass or nine patch between the snowballs. Something simples but fun for kids!
Think that a wonky log cabin with the center block fussy cut out of the cute Down Under fabrics would work well, or a disappearing 9 patch (though don't like cutting up the motifs). Your photo on the hg blog is a nice one. Congratulations! I'm sure Moda Bake Shop has some nice kid's quilt patterns, and if recall correctly, Riley Blake has a free pattern for this collection.
What a wonderful prize to win and so good of you to make quilts fr others.
I thing these prints would make a wonerful rag quilt. Love how the seams end up so fuzzy. If you do sew across each block to create an X it really puffs up the blocks and makes it so fluffy too. Have a magcal day. LenZie
Congrats on your win! Great stuff!
