Monday Finish and Find Giveaway!

This weekend I decided to make another small piece to put in my Christmas box. I love Cheri's designs and this one came from one of her old books, 301 Country Christmas Quilt Blocks. You can still find old copies online, but it seems everyone is wanting them now, so getting harder to find. I was lucky and found my copy at a thrift store.

I really enjoyed making this one, it is happy and meaningful. I added extra stars to fill in the empty spaces at the bottom and I left it, as is. I am not sure who will get it, so I didn't want to stain it and think that may darken the design too much, I like keeping this one bright and happy.

The little quilt is 6 1/2" x 7 1/2". Mini quilts are fun to do, great for small spaces and a great way to use up scraps.

Yesterday was a nice day but windy and cool still so we decided to go the the antique barn. It is a nice ride and you never know what you will find. One thing I always look for is cast iron, cat door stops. When you are hunting in a shop full of booths, you have to look carefully, sometimes items are hidden behind other items and guess what I found, a cat door stop.  I thought it would be fun to line them on the stairway.

Can you guess which one is the newest one? Make a guess and I will pick a name from the guesses. I will pick a name on friday night and the winner can pick any pattern or booklet from my ecrater shop.

I love what you did with the design. In fact, I loved it so much I took a screen shot to save it. 😘😘

Darling wallhanging. I guess the newest is the second one from the top.

Love your stitchery, very sweet, glad you added extra stars!

I'm guessing the kitten with the ball of yarn at the top. So sweet.

Love your angel piece! And I think the cat with the top hat is the newest in your collection.

Love your stitched piece - it's so cute. Your collection is adorable. I have a ceramic kitty collection from my childhood. I don't have it on display, but I just may change that! I think the second from the top - the cat pair!

Your angel piece is so cute...I have adopted a cat that lived across the street but now he lives here!! I think the second from the top is the newest addition!

I think the cat on the top step is the newest one, but I could be wrong! A very cute idea.

Love all that fine stitchery you do. You have a nice eye and great technique. Nice to know someone else collects door stops. Mine are dogs, typically Scotties which were so popular when door stops were in almost every household. My gut tells me its the black one at the bottom. Now to find out if my gut is working or if that noise is because I haven't eaten today.

Sweet kitties! My favorite is the one with the black tail. Don't enter me since I've won before.
Hugs :)

In my third floor greenhouse I have a "step tansu" it is a set of stairs that is a cupboard and drawers for storing things. It houses both plants and cats similar to yours. Several houses ago, it was visible to guests and everyone would say, "Oh, you collect cats" and bring me one. Owls and frogs have gathered in assorted places the same way. I do like those cats and wish my real stairs had space for them. I like the white cat with the dark tail but I suspect he might have been the first one.
Love the little angel.

I'm guessing the black one in the front; I have the same cat and it has traveled with me through several homes. Love your cats!
