Primitive Americana Giveaway!

Well, I decided on the giveaway prizes, as you can tell by the title.
I really love this piece and hope you will too. It is made from a design by Tiffany of Primitive Blessings. You will also get a pillow with a Primitive Blessings design and a quarter yard of whimsicals prim americana fabric to make your own summer piece.

To enter, leave a comment telling me what your plans are for this summer vacation.
I am so sick of winter and cold, and so ready for getting out again.
I want to go camping on a lake, in the mountains and paddle and bike and relax.
No shopping or driving around, just having fun outside.
Though, with the gas prices, I may be doing that close to home;)

Leave a comment on this posting only, and I will draw a winner on April 30th.
First place winner will receive the stitchery, pillow and fabric, and the second place winner can have their choice of one of my epatterns.

I want to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter day.

Hubby and I have decided to travel to Mt.Rushmore this year for our summer vacation. Neither of us has been before, but I've heard it's a nice place to visit. I'm trying to find out about great shops in the area - don't want to miss out on some good shopping! LOL

I have absolutely no idea what will happen this summer, none at all! Our two children are students and both are waiting to find out if they are getting internships or not, and if so, where they will be and for how long. Everything is on hold until then. Keeping our fingers crossed that we'll have answers in the next two weeks!

Happy Easter!

Please enter me into the giveaway. I have no vacation plans this year. We have 2 in braces, and 3 teens that will be taking drivers ed in June, and a younger one that will be going to scout camp. After drivers ed, "I" might need a vacation! =)

Sweet sweet sweet goodies!

My summer vacation plans? I am really not sure yet. My kiddo is going to keep me busy & hopefully we will be busy close to home. The price of gas is scary for everyone. We are especially concerned being a single income family.

Since I just started a new job, no vacation for me unfortunately. But I'll be spending the time here at home getting my little garden ready. I'll be getting an old antique porch swing from my grandfather shortly so I envision lazy summer days on the swing with iced tea while working on my stitcheries. And if my Gracie has her way, I'm sure she'll sneak outside to lay up on the swing with me!!

We do a local Farmer's Market as a family every Saturday and love it! Hopefully we will have lots of veggies and flowers (plants/cut) to share besides are crafty goodies if the rain every stops. A couple short day trips are being planned. Thank you for sharing.

Very awesome prizes Debbie...Oh...I wanna win these!!
Vacation plans??? Hmmmm...well, being currently unemployed, no "formal" fun time is in the budget. But, for me, just having some warm weather, a patch of dirt to dig in during the day, sunny skies to dry my bedding on the line in, and some hookin' or stitchin' after the sun sets will suit me fine. It will definitely be a "vacation" from this horrid winter we've been having. Thanks so much for the opportunity. Happy & Joyous Easter to you! Hugs, Smiles & Blessings ~ Robin

Lovely prizes!

We have no plans for this summer as of right now. We might end up taking a few day trips to places in the area. My main goal is to have fun with my son and husband as much as possible.

We are taking our annual trek to Cherokee, NC. My mom can not, due to meds, be in the sun too long or in chlorine, so the beach is out for her. My kids LOVE the mountains, but we will be adding a few new things to our trip. Over Spring Break, I took the kids there for an overnite stay and we went horseback riding and hiking - their first time! They are now hooked and we will be adding that to our agenda!!! It is always so nice to leave SC on the 4th of July being SOOOOO hot and drive over the mountains and let the windows down and almost be chilly!!!!

We won't be traveling this summer. Just can't afford it right now with two kids in college, and gosh the gas prices! I think we will just have to get creative and go on hikes locally and stuff like that. We aren't even joining the pool this year (a first in many years for us but kids are older now).
I'm looking forward to the warmth and sweet tea...perhaps a lounger under a shade tree...this about sums it up I guess.

I'm hoping to get to the quilt show in Sisters, Oregon with a friend of mine this summer. We went a few years ago and had a wonderful time. Travelled back to Canada via the coast highway. Found a neat little quilt shop, don't remember the name, and also a number of great restaurants. The scenery was lovely and we have been talking about taking this trip again. So, this is the year! Hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend.

Happy Easter Debbie! Oh what a gorgeous give-away. I'm so sick of winter and cold and rain too - I'm hoping this year we go back up to my cousin's cottage on Lake Huron, it's my favorite place in the world. I grew up summering there, and until last year, hadn't been there for 30 years. It was magical and I'm ready to go back!

Great giveaway Debbie! The summer finds our family in the backyard. We had a pool put in a couple of years ago and spend most of our time swimming and sunning. We do quickie getaways just about every month the rest of the year. This month was the Bronx Zoo . . . what a blast!

Debbie,

My plans for the summer is to be moving into a new home where I can take all of my hooking out of the boxes and redo my wool room. I don't remember what all I have as most of it has been in storage.

A separate room just to hook in is a must on my purchase list. My Realtor doesn't quite understand why I want to devote a whole room to it. She hasn't seen the boxes of wool that are packed away.

We love to get away to St. Augustine, FL... the oldest city..just spend the day strolling down the streets and shoppes. People actually live next to the tourist area. We stopped and talked to one recently and she says she loves living there, and that she meets people from all over the world. Touring the old fort is awesome..lots of Bed and Breakfast and the beach...although I don't care much for sand. There are 2 ghost tours that are very educational...great guides. Love the giveway...please enter me.
Thanks so much
