Giveaway Goodie Sneak Peek!

For those of you who would like to make  your own candle mat, Tiffany has her website back online. She was away and didn't realize it was due, so now you can download the snowman design or any of her wonderful free designs. She also has some wonderful designs that are reasonably priced and great for all types of mediums.

One thing I wanted to mention, is that Tiffany is helping a friend who has stage 4 brain cancer. They are working on a bucket list and Tiffany needs help with expenses for their trips. If you would like to read more about Bonnie's story and the things that she has been able to do with Tiffany, you can visit their blog, Bonnie's Blessings to learn more. Her story will touch your heart.

Today I finished another candle mat, the winner can have their choice of the first one, or this one, I will let you decide. This one is more fun but more prim with the staining. The design is by Michelle Ridgeway Designs. You can find the freebie on her right side bar.

I had to clean out my wool bins and put the wool in boxes for now and I picked out some camel hair wool, that I hand dyed. It is a super soft wool that can be used in different types of projects. Also a mini halloween quilt, a christmas pillow and a candle. I will wait on the patterns after I choose a name, since some of you like to quilt, punch or stitch, I will customize those to your likes.

I also said that I would pick a name on Sunday. I will do that and then announce it on monday. I have not had the best week and still recovering, so I will take a break till Monday and see what else I can add to the box. I hate to send out a box that isn't full;) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

If you would like to enter the contest, you have till Sunday night, 10pm EST. You must leave your comment at THIS POST to be entered. I have enjoyed reading your comments and I think I can say, done that, been there, lol.

Eggs and Ducks!

I must be feeling better, I can't sit still anymore, lol.
So, I made up some eggs this weekend with vintage embroideries.
These were fun to make and I like using color for these types, reminds me of the 50's. I had some old trim and used that to go around the outside edge.

I wanted to make some chicks for my baskets and decided to try my duck design. As you can see, my ducks are a bit sad looking, lol. I used my camel hair wool and think it would be fun to try smaller chicks and maybe brush the wool to get the fluffy look.

Rabbit and Chick Hooked Rug: Giveaway continues

I finished my newest piece today. I just had to try the design in a hooked rug and love how it came out.
Of course I took night photos, so hard to capture the primitive colors without getting a lot of contrast from the flash.

I used recycled and new wools and mixed in colors and textures to give it an antique look.
I also realized that the chick needed a flower, so I added one in this piece.
Now I need to do up the pattern for the new pieces. It will contain all 3 versions that I did.
This will be the pattern for the giveaway, but if you are not into easter things, the winner can have their choice from any of my patterns.

I sat it with some of my easter items, the rug will be for sale this weekend. I really need to sand down that bench and prim it up. What i really want is for my husband to build me a bucket bench, to put there;) I got some of my yellow camel hair wool to try some chicks with, for bunny. We shall see how they turn out. I have been having fun reading your comments and seeing the names you have picked out for her.

Here is a closer version. I used wool yarn to border the edge.

And last but not least, I know how much you love kitty pictures. Dora is so jealous of moki, she does not like me to love anyone but her, so I have to love Moki and Izzy when she isn't looking. So tonight is Dora the queen's turn;) She does know how to look cute, when she wants.

Winner and Free Christmas Cross Stitch!

As always, I hate having one winner, so I made up a new cross stitch, so everyone can have something tonight.
I decided to make a cross stitch out of the design I punched. I like how the cross stitch came out and I did change mine a bit.
This is for a gift and I wanted it more prim, so as I stitched I changed things, I tend to do that with my designs. I antiqued it and then wet it a bit, so you can see a bit more dark where it is damp still.

Here is the cross stitch version I made up for my visitors. You can use this for yourselves or as a gift, but please do not make prints to share or to sell. If you want to change it up to make it more prim, you can do that if you like. I added a border from my program for those who like fancier borders. If you have problems seeing the squares or printing, please let me know. I ran out of some colors in my printer, so I couldn't test it. The colors I use in the graphic are not what I use for stitching, I just like to use colors that are easy to see, for printing out.

And now onto the winner of my Birthday Contest! The winner of the prize package is....... Cat Haven Crafts!
Please email me with your snail mail, so I can send your prizes to you.
Look for more contests and freebies in the future.
And I want to thank everyone who left such wonderful comments and made me laugh, as well.

Birthday Giveaway!

In celebration this month, I am having a giveaway to my followers.
I wanted to have something that everyone would like and hope I picked out something special that will suit most people's tastes.
As I get older, I learn what it really important in life, enjoying each day, my family and friends and my health. I may be a bit on the rickety side and have a lot more aches and pains, but have never had to deal with anything serious or life threatening, and I am grateful for all these things. I think this piece and pillow, say it all. The design is by Tiffany of Primitive Blessings.

One lucky winner will receive a mini stitchery quilt with a matching pillow and a piece of hand dyed camel hair wool.
You can use the wool in hooking, sewing or to make animals, if you are a doll maker. It is a deep red mottled wool, that is super soft. I was thinking it would be nice for a deer or a santa suit. I may add a surprise later, it all has to fit in a large envelope.

So, if you would like to win, all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me what type of decorations you have in your house for Christmas. Remember, you must be a follower of my blog and new followers are welcome. The giveway will be drawn on Sunday, November 21st. As an added special, you can buy any pattern on my ecrater site and receive one free, just let me know what your free choice is, in the comment box. And I will also be working on something special for everyone, as well.

I Thank you all, for finding my life and creations interesting enough to read and for all of the wonderful comments I have received.
