Well, I guess our flu wasn't over yet, Bill woke up coughing bad on wednesday, so I made him go to the doc and he got medicine for both of us. I got the sore throat and sinus, no cough and now that I am on meds, I won't have to worry about that. Hopefully we can enjoy the weekend, Sunday is going to be beautiful and I really want to get out and enjoy a day of nice weather.
The good thing is, I had plenty of time to rest and work on some new pieces. I am still working from the Kindred Spirt books and made an easter pillow for me and two that I can give as gifts next year. It is fun making up things I can give next year and sometimes I like to have things to give just for fun.
Now I am going to have to buckle down, I have two weeks to make a baby quilt for the new baby and since I know it is another boy, I can get to work on it. I have an idea, now I just need to draw it out, figure out sizes and get it made, lol.
I had one more piece that I stitched, but didn't have time to finish it today. I have some ideas on ways I can change the finishes, fun to experiment and try different things.
Another thing I love, is to see the work from those who use my patterns. Deirdre of The Old Rose Cottage made a beautiful rug, using my Spring Chicks pattern. I love the lighter chicks against the dark antique background.
That is such a cute pattern. Good time of year to see some cute spring chicks
ReplyDeleteLove your bunny stitched on the polka dot fabrics and how you stitched a wool star over one of the dots!
ReplyDeleteCute hen and chicks?
So cute x
ReplyDeleteYour pillows are so cute, Debbie. The hen and chicks is such a nice pattern. Good luck with the baby quilt - 2 weeks, sheesh! :) Hopefully the meds have you and Bill
ReplyDeleteon the mend.
That bunny pillow was my favorite, and love the hooked chicken and chicks rug.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have lots of bowl fillers to display or give away. Such a variety of design and all good ones.
ReplyDeleteThe rug made from your design suits my style well. I used to collect chicken items and am still interested in seeing them though I don't want to collect any more.
Sorry you're feeling poorly. I love your little mama cat and kitten. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI adore Deirdre's version of your chicken pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou always get so much done!!!
Hugs :)

Saying a prayer you guys are both on the mend - that flu is a nasty one. Your new finishes are just darling, I especially love mama kitty. Deirdre did a fabulous job with your lovely pattern!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Bill get to feeling better soon! Love your work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Spring pieces! Don't worry... soon it will be warm enough to be outside enjoying some fresh air! :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the flu has found your house. WE have had our share of sickness hopefully we are on the mend. you are never idle compared to myself who is always scattered and can put my feet up and watch tv or read without a thought to anything else.

Chicks are so touching. I feel strong urge to touch them cause of texture is such relief. Wonderful combination of calm colors.
