This weekend we worked on the yard and got Dani's tree planted. We have neglected our yard for years and it is time to clean it up, add plants and areas that we can enjoy with family and friends.
Our son came over to help and of course Nicholas had to help too, he loved driving the tractor with grandpa.
They drove around Dani's tree, I look forward to the day when it gets larger and then we can add a bench and have a nice place to sit under and think happy memories.
I was playing around, trying to take a picture and then I ended up playing with photoshop and this is what I ended up with. I call it Fire Spirit, but what do you think it really is? Give me your guess and I will pick a name from the comments. The winner will get their choice of one of my epatterns or booklets. I will pick a name and announce it on Friday night.
The tree is beautiful, Deb and will give you years of joy! It looks like a "Great Ball of Fire" to me!! Interesting picture! Your grandson is adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a light at the end of the tunnel. It is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a eerie picture. I can almost make out a face on the left side. Looks like it's peeking out between trees. A midnight dance of the fairies around the fire. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you took a picture of a piece of fabric. Maybe curtains. I am not very imaginative.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing a picture of the pink blooms on the tree next spring. Should be very pretty.
An angel in the trees!
ReplyDeleteYour plan to have bench by the beautiful bedding tree is so nice.
ReplyDeleteI guess it is the rising full moon.
Beautiful tree for beautiful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteSo many possibilities, especially for any fantasy readers. I see a sacred pyre with forest spirits dancing around it. And your loved ones who recently left us are among those spirits.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like material over a light bulb or flashlight. From a distance it looks like a sunset peeking through trees. I love the tree for your daughter. I plant a bush or flowers each year to remember my sisters on their birthdays. There birthdays or May 9 and May 14th.
ReplyDeleteI looks like a bare light bulb behind a curtain or a pleated skirt. It reminds me of the glow of a mass of fireflies in the woods on a dusky summers eve. Anything that congers up thoughts of summer after the winter we have had in New England is just right. The tree is just so splendid. What a wonderful tribute....
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tree...in memory of a beautiful spirit...TINKERBELL!
ReplyDeleteGrandkids are the best...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fire in the woods. Very eerie.
reflection of the moon on water

Great to have everyone helping in the garden... Nicholas is enjoying it... many hours have been spent here mowing with Pops and a grandchild...
ReplyDeleteDani's tree looks settled.... a bench under it sounds great... do those trees grow quite fast?
Hug
A flashlight shining through tent flaps? Hmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is too cute.
ReplyDeleteMay Dani's tree bring you peace.
I think it looks like a light through a curtain. I've won your give away before, so don't include me.
Hugs,
Lauren
Nicholas is so so cute!!! Looks like he's really concentrating on driving in that first pic.
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks wonderful! Looks like a picture taken through your jacket...?
