I finished my third lady today, love the fabrics from Barbara's 1862 Battle Hymn fabric. It looks beautiful for the dresses and this quilt. Her flag stick is bent, I might fix it, I might not, lol. On this one, I added some laces, what do you think? I was thinking of adding the laces at the top, but I wanted to keep it simple and prim.
Also, for those of you who would like to win some goodies of your own, Chris at We Love Quilting is having another monthly giveaway. You won't be disappointed, she send wonderful boxes of goodies, a very generous lady.

The fabrics for the dresses are lovely and I like the laces how they are.
ReplyDeleteI love them just as they are!!
ReplyDeleteShe's lovely!!! I really really like the touch of lace!
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely. I have been thinking about how to do figures lately.
ReplyDeleteYour southern ladies are looking right fine. I like the bent stick, it gives it whimsy.
ReplyDeleteYou have rediscovered this pattern for me. I have the CW book it is in. I might have to add a ladies quilt to my long project list. Even though my Great, Great Grandfather fought for Iowa in the great war, I was able to have my likeness captured on glass through the same lens that once captured the image of Jeff Davis's famous portrait during this time. The image is the one I have with my blog profile.
Keep the ladies coming, their wonderful.
Another goodie! Yes, I like the laces!
ReplyDeleteThese blocks are turning out great Deb...like this one just the way it is...
ReplyDeleteMy book arrived that has the pattern in it. I enjoy seeing each and every one of the blocks you have made.
ReplyDeleteYour lady blocks are all wonderful Debbie! I love the dress fabric on this one so much. I would leave the block as is. It will look great when you put them all together in your top. Hugs, Lori

ReplyDeletePosting here...the kitties are SOOOO cute, no wonder they are/were the inspiration for the Black Cat Penny rug, FINCHES!!! I LOVE Finches...haven't seen one yet here, but it's still any. Hope to get some sunflowers planted to attract them. Love the blue fabric, great buy!!! The little chicken is adorable, and thank for taking the time to post all of the pictures of the show.
