Since I went the easy way and bought braided runners, I decided to take the wool I put together and make a rug for my living room. It is nothing fancy, just scrap wools that I wanted to use up and it will cover the floor until I make a better one. As you can see, Izzy had to test it, the minute I laid it down. I will keep going around until it covers the middle area of the room.
Since It was so beautiful out today, I enjoyed some cooler air on the porch. Of course I start to see things as the dusk settles in.
Do you see what I saw in the trees? Every time I go to Maine, I say I will see a moose and never do, so now I have one in my backyard;)
I love your braided rug! Are you using the silver (at least that's what color mine are) bias strip makers? (again - that's what I think they are - a handmedown from my Grandmother) Can you give us a closer view of the rug? Thanks. ~Ann
ReplyDeleteAnn,
ReplyDeleteI took it at night with flash, so the photos are not that great. Next time I will take a photo outside so I can get a better close up of the braids.

ReplyDeleteyou are very talented.. and I love the Moose.
ReplyDeleteI made a braided rug for my living room about 10-12 years ago - long before I started rug hooking. Believe it or not, I used polyester double knit fabric for it - can you believe that? It actually looks okay, and I doubt it will EVER wear out! LOL Yours is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the braided rug. Maybe you could tell us how you learned to do this sometime?
ReplyDeleteOh I want to make a rug!! Do you have directions on how to do it! Your rug looks great with Izzy stretched out. And I can see 2 moose's in your picture!
