Good reminders at how hard work pays off. And, hopefully a nice little treasure to leave for my kids.Ter'ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15798184032062915543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2935207946660056757.post-33793404901506837122010-03-22T10:44:26.745-04:002010-03-22T10:44:26.745-04:00Both are just BEAUTIFUL! Mostly, I like the stitching to be the star of the show and I agree with Melissa about the primness of your pieces and the mats.Chocolates4Breakfast (Terri ~ Boog)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08442832426281875869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2935207946660056757.post-17330232712196245942010-03-20T21:47:53.865-04:002010-03-20T21:47:53.865-04:00These are just lovely. I just figure they didn't do it long ago, so why should I?
The pieces came out great. Thank you for sharing.
By the way, I have the entire stair wall hung with framed cross stitch and do not have a problem with them getting knocked down. I think that they look more prim that way. You did an excellent job with your staining. Instead of putting them in the dryer, have you tried drying them in the oven?Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00792171420098351093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2935207946660056757.post-25564504548954200352010-03-20T09:11:51.871-04:002010-03-20T09:11:51.871-04:00Well you just made my heart skip an extra beat...t...Well you just made my heart skip an extra beat...these are wonderful! Maybe not for these but I have a few that I did years ago my Mom put a fabric border on for me - looks like a quilt piece - love them - and you can still hang them as if they are framed. Just and "idear"!Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02268530329503988928noreply@blogger.com
