Prim Goodies!

I finally took a photo of the new goodies I received from the prim swap in our ebay group, USAPRIM. Lori from HomeSpunPrims sent me the most wonderful gifts. I just love the items and can make a special grouping with them. She does such beautiful work, it is shame my old camera can't capture the work and warmth of the pieces.

I was feeling worse today so I went to a walk in clinic nearby, that has a group of good doctors and you don't have to make an appointment. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to drop again since Bill does have to go back to work, lol. Well, once he heard about the symptoms I had and questioned me further, he diagnosed me with lyme. My doc had mentioned it, but I don't remember even having a tick on me. But, for the last few years I have been getting sicker and it was frustrating. I didn't even realize that some of my problems were a sign of lyme, seems I have most of them. So, I am on a regime of antibiotics for a month with a follow up and hopefully this will work and I can start living again. With me it was effecting my nervous, muscle and joints, so I thought it was old age and not being in shape. My hands are even starting to feel better, so hopefully I can start working on some small projects this weekend.

I really appreciate the comments and good wishes and truly enjoy each and every one of my online friends!

Such good news to have a diagnosis. I am always watching Hubby for signs of Lyme - he had an ugly, ugly tick our first New England fall. The docs say he's clear . . . but I'm ever vigilant.

You've got to be very careful with the ticks. I used to work in Ipswich, MA and we took the kids to the vernal pool. We always did a thorough tick check afterwards and kept a good lookout through the day. I have found them on me here at the new house when I go into the woods. It's a pain. I hope you feel better really soon!

Lovely goodies from Lori...

So very glad you went to the walk in clinic...sometimes it takes a different voice than our primary Dr to help us see the problem...

Wishing you'll feel better than ever as soon as can be!

Great goodies!

Glad your feeling a bit better. Those ticks are nasty little things. We eliminated a couple of hiking trails because they were so infested. Glad you got a diagnosis.

Since I left the country, have not seen a tick on me or the dog. One advantage to being surrounded by concrete, I guess.

Please take care, lady, we need and love having you around!!

Oh Deb, I'm so sorry you've been going thru this! :( Sounds like we have been leading paralell lives lately! I was in the ER twice this last week, and checked in for two days. Those beds will kill you faster than what you went in for! LOL! But at least you got a diagnosis and can start treating it!! The worst is not knowing what the heck is going on, and feeling like you are falling apart for no good reason! That's where i'm at right now. Just wish they would figure it out so they could FIX it! Glad to hear the antibiotics are working for you sweety! But i know that lyme isn't conquered that easy :( Will be praying for you daily!!! xoxo

Sounds like a good news, bad news joke - I'm glad they finally have found a reason, but it's a yucky reason - hope the meds can get you back on track and you don't have any more long-lasting effects. Lori's goodies are awesome! I had the privilege and honor of actually meeting her this past Saturday - she is a wonderful person...and so, so, talented!! Get better quick Sweetie...Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Debbie,
I happened to see your post today on Lori's blog ( LOVE all your goodies from her too..so wonderful) and wanted to say how much I can relate!! I was bitten by a tick when I lived in PA and my life became a living nightmare for about a year with misdiagnosis and lack of compassion for a seemingly phantom ailment that no one recognized!! A long story short, I finally got the proper treatment (antibiotics for lyme among other things) and was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia! After 18 years I am doing great, but live with all that comes with it...pretty normal for me now! I just wanted to say how very happy I am for you to get some help and answers and so hope you will be feeling better soon!! It makes such a difference when they can pinpoint it and treat it!!
I just wanted to comment and encourage you that it will get better!
Take care~~
Julie

I am glad you got diagnosed too. I know someone who had this and he got so sick before finding out. Now he is back to normal.

Hang in there as it does take some time.
