A bit of new and old

Tonight I worked on my dog quilt. I have added some new things, since I last showed it and tonight, I added three fireflies and the grasshopper. I messed up on the legs, so decided to call it a night. Now I will add the details on the critters and flowers and then decide if I want to add anything else. The firefly and grasshopper are courtesy of Wee Folk Art. If you are looking for fun appliques or projects, check it out.

As for old, this santa was painted in the early 80's, it is almost an antique;) It is one of those figures that you bought and painted yourself.

And this is what it is like at my house, the dog gets presents on Christmas. He loves to open presents.

I had to throw away his favorite squeaky toy, it was getting really gross. Now he has a new toy to play with, but he has a hard time getting it to squeak. He really gets off, trying to torture his squeaky toys.

Yes, he is a border collie and smart as well. Too smart for his own good, always looking for new ways to play. His favorite is hiding his toy in my drawers while I am doing laundry and then gives me the, go find it look;)

I like the border collie. We have one, too. They are a care because they are so darn smart. So much fun. Thanks for sharing. Linda

My parents' dog (and all the dogs we had when growing up) loves to open her presents. Lucky pups for sure!
Your blog's name caught my eye when I was checking out Paula Prass's site, so I had to check you out.
We are hoping to move aboard our sail boat this summer and intend to aim for New England for the season.
I love your cat photos and I think your blog is the first one I've found that has more kitty pictures than mine!
