Laundry Helper

Another weekend and I feel like I didn't get much done. I worked on finishing a present for a friend and I started a new project. I am making "Cats in the garden" for my new wall space. I decided to use colors to match my kitties past and present, so it is a fun project to work on and will be full of memories of my sweet kitties who have passed. Of course Dora is represented in the quilt, I used a tan to golden print for her.

Dora has been quiet this weekend. With all the banging going on for the new flooring, she prefers to sleep in a pile of wool down stairs. She will chase anything I throw including laundry in the basket. In goes a sock and in goes dora. She gave me the smart alec look and then hopped out, she is way to agile and a handful, but she is a sweetie.

Oh, she is a smart alec and the boss, in her kitten way, hate to see when she grows up. She is skinny and all legs, so there is not place she cannot get to, never mind how how she can jump when a bug gets in the house;)

Dora is so cute and I love the pictures you've gotten of her in the laundry bag. Unfortunately for us, we lost one of our cats yesterday morning. He'd been ill for about a week but the vets couldn't figure out what was wrong. He took a turn for the worse over the weekend and we rushed him in yesterday morning, where he went into cardiac arrest on the table. They revived him but X-rays and a sonogram finally showed a huge intestine. We took him off life support and let him go and the autopsy showed death of the intestine caused by lymphoma. All we can do is cry, even though we still have 5 cats here at home to care for.

Love Dora while you have her. All too often, our fur covered children leave us way too soon and all we can do is grieve!

Jojo,
I am so sorry you lost your kitty. I know how hard that is. Every kitty is special in their own way and they leave a space in our hearts when they go.
